The stress and turmoil of a removal of a child is very detrimental and can push a parent to relapse causing a vicious cycle.

Our Mission

To provide mothers with an environment that will help them stop using harmful substances while raising their children and be the role models that children expect and deserve.

Our Services

We assist with supportive housing and permanent supportive services which include:

Drug/alcohol preventive services
Social services
Counseling services
Parenting services
Vocational services.

These services will assist in making mothers more independent and self-sufficient while preparing them for the cycles of life .

Dear Community Members,
You're invited! Join It Takes a Village Housing and the City of Camden for THE VILLAGE SPRING FLING - a free, family-friendly celebration supporting and honoring mothers while connecting neighbors to valuable community resources.

When: Saturday, May 30, 2026 - 10:00AM to 2:00 PM

Where: Von Neida Park (29th and River Rd, Camden, NJ 08105)

What to expect: Raffles, activities, face painting, community resource tables, food, entertainment, and fun for all ages. Bring the whole family - parents, grandparents, kids, and caregivers. There will be activities and resources for every generation, so come out, enjoy the spring weather, meet neighbors, and learn about local support.
